The 21st National Annual Quality Convention (NAQC) was held on 10 May, 2017, Wednesday at the Auditorium of BIAM Foundation, 63 New Eskaton Road, Dhaka. The theme of the convention is “QCCs for Sustainable Development”. The convention was organized by Bangladesh Society for Total Quality Management (BSTQM) and Co-Sponsored by BAAS & DBL Group, Dhaka. Dr. Khandoker Mahmudur Rahman, Assistant Professor, United International University presented the Keynote Paper. There were 400 delegates, from the renowned 52 organizations present in the convention.
The QC Circle presentation started at 09:00 am. 52 Nos QC Circle from Rahimafrooz Accumulators Ltd. (RAL), Rahimafrooz Batteries Ltd. (RBL), Rahimafrooz Globatt Ltd. (RGL), Rahimafrooz Distribution ltd., Comfit Composite Knit Ltd., ACI Godrej Agrovet Ltd., Healthcare Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Interstoff Apparels Ltd., South East Textiles Pvt. Ltd., (Interstoff Apparels Ltd.), Interstoff Clothing Ltd., Navana Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Emami Bangladesh Limited, Jinnat Apparels Ltd.-Knitting, DBL Group, Hamza Textile Ltd. ,Mawna Fashion Ltd. , Thanbee Print World Ltd. ,DBTEX Limited. , Hamza Washing Limited, Color City Ltd. , Jinnat Fashions Ltd. , Matin Spinning Mills Ltd., Mymun Textiles Ltd participated in the QC Circle presentation in five concurrent stream.
In the closing ceremony Mr. Syed Alimuzzaman, Convener of 21st NAQC welcomed all participants in the convention. Prof. Dr. Golam Rahman, Adviser & Former VC of Bangladesh University was the Chief Guest in the convention. Mr. Asif Ashraf, Managing Director, URMI Group, & Mr. Mohammad Ebadul Karim, Managing Director, Beacon Pharmaceuticals Ltd. were the special Guests of the convention. Mr.A M M Khairul Bashar, President, Engr. Jawaherul Ghani, Adviser, BSTQM and Mr. Naimul Hasan, Secretary General, BAAS gave valuable speech in the closing session. Mr. A K M Shamsul Huda, Vice President, BSTQM read the convention evaluation report. A cultural show was displayed in the session. All QCC team were given crest in the closing session.
Participants evaluated that the selection of venue, management of time, food and sessions as excellent.
Over all the 21st NAQC was a success.
