Syed Masud Hasan

Syed Masud Hasan obtained his postgraduate degree in Industrial Engineering and Administration from the UK and graduated in Mechanical Engineering from BUET in 1970. He is a qualified Lead Auditor for SA-8000 and has received extensive management training at home and abroad. With over 41 years of experience as a Trainer and Management Consultant, he began his career with Bangladesh Railway and later served as Director of Bangladesh Management Development Centre (BMDC). In 1993, he joined the Centre for Management Development as Managing Director. Mr. Hasan has led numerous training and consultancy projects with JICA, British Council, UNICEF, ILO, UNDP, DFID, EU, and others. A leading expert in Japanese management techniques—KAIZEN, 5S, and TQM—he served as Vice President of BAAS and Advisor to the Bangladesh Society for Total Quality Management. He was Program Director for DFID’s National Leadership Program for Nurses and continues to provide management advisory and training services in Project Management, Leadership, Team Building, and Productivity Improvement.
